After 13 years at my current job, and 20 years as a workin man, wifey and I are taking the plunge and switching positions. She's stayed at home for the last 13 years since we've had kids, and we're swapping positions. She's going to be working, and in early June, I'll be leaving my job to stay at home with the kids. I'm tired of beating up my body at work, and it's just a paycheck for me, I have no passion fo what I do. I'm good at it, but it's just a job. Wifey's got a job at a youth rehab center (basically a kid's prison), something she's very passionate about, that pays about the same with similar benefits, and room to move up the ladder as well. So while Wifey's out earning a living, I'll be here teaching the kids and doing all the house-husband stuff. I'm excited for it

Are there any other t-man stay at home dads?

That wouldn’t work for me. I’m very thankful everyday to not be a parent

Sounds like a movie I saw once! Good luck to you both.

Interesting!! New challenges are good for people, and I wish all of you success.

Very good. Not many people are afforded such an opportunity. Your kids are only young once and you don’t wanna miss out on those special times

Enjoy the time with the kids! Sounds great if both are on board with the idea!

It's a luxury for a family to live on one income these days

The only folks you need to satisfy with that arrangement is yourselves. I'll bet you'll thrive in your new "job".

Glad you can make it work. My wife stayed home while the boys were little. They always paid me too much to quit.

I worked long hours for quite some time but have parlayed it into a Cush job that pays for me to travel across the US and into Canada if I choose to do so pretty much at will.

My wife and I are nearing the end of our working career. She will retire first more than likely.

A big reason why I became self employed was to be home with the kids more. Show up for them at school activities and help out with the raising of the kids.

It’s worked out quite well!
