Very true. His cell was probably cleaned and occupied before he was executed. Almost daily we have multiple killings here. That's way I'm home before the sun sets. Plus my Glock goes were I go. Plus I even lock my vehicle doors while sitting in it. That would give me a few extra seconds if someone tried to enter and pull me out or trying to break my window.
We have car jackings here and when the sun goes down. The criminal element ramps up. You can never be to prepared or vigilant.

The state’s firing squad protocols called for Mahdi to be strapped to a chair and shot by three prison employees aiming at a bullseye placed on the chest. Mahdi gave no final statement and did not look toward the witnesses in the room, which included his lawyer.

Mahdi cried out when he was shot, his arms flexed, and he groaned two more times roughly 45 seconds after the bullets were fired, according to an Associated Press reporter, who served as a media witness. His breaths continued for roughly 80 seconds before he appeared to take a final gasp. He was pronounced dead around 6.05 pm, less than four minutes after he was shot.


He got off too easy. They should’ve use hatchets and made him feel some pain.

His last supper should've been puffer fish. He killed a convenience store clerk in North Carolina and the drove to South Carolina and hid in a barn which happened to belong to a deputy who found him and then was shot multiple times and died.
