Good morning everyone. I don't post personal stuff alot but could use some thoughts and prayers for our community. As some of you know I have been coaching high school sports for 44 years, wrestling and softball, softball now for the past 32 years. I love working with kids and the sports, taught for 30 years as well.
In the past 10 days we learned that two of my softball families are being hit with very difficult cancer diagnoses, the prognosis is not good for either case.
We had a parent miscarry a pregnancy.
The other horrible tragedy was one of our softball families had their parents murdered by a 15 year old boy. A wonderful couple and family killed by this boy and no one currently knows why. Close friends of ours, we are a small rural community in North Central WI. All kinds of rumors, I have spoke with family members and no one knows why, there is no girlfriend - boyfriend relationship anyone is aware of. My team of girls is recovering but we are all hurting. The families were friends, he came over last Wednesday evening and killed them, at some point over the next couple days he killed himself.
It has been a rough stretch and Kathy and I are ones many lean on. Keep your loved ones and friends close.

That is very hard when you are close to these people and from a community of being close. My heart goes out to all involved.

It's not always easy being the rock in a family or community, I can't do much but offer words from here... but hang in there. Sometimes being there for others is all you can do, and you've just gotta do it.
Again, prayers for you and everyone else.

When I am truly scared or in a horrible situation, I constantly repeat "Be strong in the power and the might of the LORD."

Words cannot express how much I cannot understand how bad thing are for you. I am at a loss for words.

GOD calls on the strong when HE needs them. HE is calling on you. End of the day go somewhere and ball your eyes out. Seriously, get it out every day. Come back with a stiff spine and strong arms.

I am praying fo you and your wife right now. Amazing how things can be put in perspective.

The Lord will equip you and give you wisdom and guidance when you seek it from Him.
