So do you hunt more for the meat or trophy lucky rabbit feet and trophy squirrel tails? Or maybe it's the being outside and the experience. Possibly just to rack up numbers! And/or some of all of them.
2nd part what's your life time kill #s for each and do you break it down further to species and sex?

for the enjoyment of hunting. squirrel and rabbit both are great eating, much better than deer. no trophy hunting or keeping tails or feet and never kept track of the numbers or sex or anything.
just hunt for the enjoyment and love eating them.
Anyone that owns a gun and votes democrat deserves to have there gun taken, cause they truly are too stupid to own a gun.

Never been a numbers guy for game. I do hunt squirrels and rabbits some years and enjoy being outdoors doing it and the meat I get. Everything has a different taste and a hundred recipes.

For me, it's the food and getting out, all by myself. To chase rabbit and squirrel I don't need fancy camo or equipment. Don't need to be up at 4:00 AM. My favorite rifle is my Marlin bolt action .22.
ergo, bibamus.

As a kid my dad & I would hunt cottontails on Sunday mornings after a fresh snow. We’d track & jump rabbits and we’d switch-off being the “stander” with Pa’s Model 12 while the other of us would “bark’em around”! I raised my boys to rabbit hunt the same way. It was easy shooting for the kids because the rabbits would tight-circle slowly as compared to a dog but it was a big deal and a ton of fun.

For the meat for the most part...Not so many rabbits, maybe 500'ish, but squirrel count runs in the 1,000's easy, maybe more.
Flintlock muzzleloader & .22 rifle on squirrels...Shotgun for rabbits.
Not sure about the sex percentage ratio, but more males overall.
