Begins in late September here, intensifies in early-October and peaks about 3rd week in October. 30 miles east to Atlantic coast activity is a week or so earlier. 30 to 40 plus miles west and north the activity shifts a couple weeks later. The last study here in MN suggested that 49% of all fawns are killed by coyotes (with a 63% mortality rate overall). I "suspect" this study was done in coyote only parts of the state and not the wolf range. Are coyotes your main fawn predators down there?

There are no fawn predator studies that have been done in my area that I'm aware of. Not sure of any research in other parts of Georgia, either.
