I ordered all of mine online through starlink. I'm not sure they have kits at the box stores. First I've heard of it.

I have the RV one. From the outlet there is a power cord to a wireless router and from the wireless router there is a cord to the dish.

I have it plugged into an outside outlet, the wireless router is outside on the outside of a window sill, and my connection speed in the house is better than I had.

I can unplug it, roll up the cords, throw it in the truck, drive to work, plug it into my dash and run it out of the bed of my truck if I wanted to.

In terms of dooms day, its the one to get. Its how the KY flood victims got internet service while everything was down for example.

Ok, I’m dumb,,, what is a star link??
This is the third time today I’ve seen someone asking about something like this.
All I know is Elon musk satellites.. something to do with those?

Yes. Those satellites are providing internet to people that can't get fast internet. Who is your internet through? Mines through starlink.

I bought mine at Home Depot. Ice and snow and high mount I paid to have it installed. With the final location inside my house and the height of the place for the antenna it was a good deal. Took 3 hours. I plan on getting 2 more. One for my shop and one for the motorhome. Backpacking and sleeping on the ground is a past pleasure with my old body!

One of our customers had the portable Starling and it was setting on the ground with snow and dirt on it and he said it worked perfectly. That is when I made the decision to ry it. Works awesome!

The location on my house. It faces to the north. And we are north..LOL

I've been putting off buying one for the past few years. One of my friends goes deep into the woods (off grid). Withing a few minutes he can set it up and have high speed internet. Bluetooth's the phone and he can call from almost anywhere in CONUS. The downside for ROAMing is $165 per month.

I got one at Home Depot for at home. The wife is important enough at the fire department that they issued her a mobile setup

I bought mine about a year ago, don't know what models are available today. It has an antenna about 16"x24", I have the ROM plan, it will even work in a boat moving at 34MPH with the antenna facing straight up. Very impressed with it.
There are cheaper plans if it is stationary, or if you don't use much data.
