Stoped at a gun shop to see if they had a threaded cz for my 14 year old. ended up in a discussion with the 21 year gun counter expert about NFA Trust benefits. He keyed in on my reasoning about the kids being able to have access alone with then before they are 21. I was nice but told him he was not correct and 18 can have NFA. He got smug and sharky. I knew he was not going to budge so I moved on.

After I left I looked it up at the gas station. Now I was not sure about the under 18 part but knew 18 can have NFA. But looking it up and it's even better than I though. No age restrictions. He insited you had to be 21 and it was federal law even after I exp that was for buying from a dealer same as with handguns. You have to be 21 to buy one from a dealer but 18 you can buy from an individual or have it given to you.
Now I don't care if the guy wants to be wrong but he works in a gun store and people think he knows his stuff and will believe what he says and pass it along as fact. So I went back and asked him if he had time to read a paragraph and handed him this pulled up on my phone.

Now according to this I don't think you have to be 18 to get an approved form 1. I have never done one as an individual always a trust but think I may send in form 1s for the boys and see what happens. If they get approved we will make them .22 cans.

The same goes for handgun ammo, .22 ammo can be sticky in some states or businesses.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Thar is why it's always for a rifle if they asked when I was under 21 even though I had both handguns and rifles. Same with any other typical handgun cal.
