brother in law is over 6' and was driving a short t post and pulled the driver to high off the post an flames the edg of the top of the post when he brought it down resulting in the driver tipping back and splitting his head open and a tip to the ER.
While him and my mother in law were I. the ER they brought in a 4 year old girl riped apart by a pit. She died. Apparently the baby sitter ran a pit rescue. The baby sitter had a heart attack and died also. Not sure if she had the heart attack before the attack or any other details other than when the mother got to the er and broke down it was hard to listen to.
This was on wensday. And why regardless of what or how great a pit may be I myself won't have one near me. They have their place for their job kiling hogs and such but they are not ment for any inexperienced handler like typically end up with them.
Run a rescue bleeding heart and now you and the kid are dead. And got to wonder about the mom's ability to mother to leave her kid in that environment.
Edit looked it up was the 53 year old grandmother watching the kid. 6 pits and a poodle mix for 7 dogs. Little girl died at the hospital. very sad situation and 100% avoidable.

A good friend told me when they let those dogs competition fight they are wagging their tails before they are released. They like it.

That’s……….real interesting Keith………lol. Careful with numbers, when used properly they don’t lie. But I’m sure we’re all aware how numbers can be used to push a certain perspective, but most see right through them. Oh...but they have to be trained to be mean.. Yea, it’s not in their blood. Like bull sharks are awesome, until they’re in the hands of a bad owner……lol I’ve tangled with a few in my travels and for the most part they’re actually all bark, just gotta know how to handle them. But there’s 2 or 3 times when I wouldn’t get out of the truck. A St Bernard came the closest to ending my tenure on this planet.

Was watching one of those judge shows on the boob tube last week. It was a dog attack case. Even the judge said. " Let me guess, it was a pit bull". Of course she was right

Late 90's had a neighbor who got a pitbull pup. Several months later guess who they asked to shoot it for them?

Pits and the argument for them is proof rational thinking is lost on a lot of people in this society today True. The only local person I ever heard of being killed by a dog, the dogs were pits. They tore her clear apart and I think they were her dogs. It happened closer to Wetdog on here, maybe he'll chime in.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

That happened in my hometown, 3 houses down from my aunt. Sad deal all around. I have no use for any pit or mix of any kind On Geiger street. Are you still in Huntingburg? I live behind the old hospital. Drive the big, red Bronco.

They're such ugly dogs, too. When they snap, they have no regard for their own safety; they are relentless. (There's even a name for this trait: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameness) They have very muscular jaws and necks and when they bite down, it's not easy to pry their mouths open. There's a device called a break stick that assists with releasing from a pit bull's jaws: https://www.pbrc.net/breakstick.htmlHow to Break Up a Fight If one of the dogs has a grip, it’s time to use a break stick. It is best if there are two people to break up a fight, but you can do it by yourself if you have no choice. If both dogs are fighting and you are alone, you might need to tie one of the dogs to something solid. When one of the dogs is tied up, you must "break" the one that is not tied first, and pull him/her off right away. Walk over to the dogs, straddle one that has a hold, and then lock your legs around the dog's hips just in front of the hindquarters. Make sure your legs are locked securely around the dog. Your break stick will be in one hand, so with your free hand, grab your dog firmly by his collar and pull upward slightly. Insert your breaking stick behind the molars where the gap is found. Sometimes you need to work the stick in just a bit if the gap is small. The stick should be inserted from ½ to 1½ inches into the dog's mouth. Turn the stick as if you're twisting the throttle of a motorcycle. This action will cause the dog to readjust its grip, and it will bite onto the stick, releasing the other dog. If both dogs have a hold, you will then have to break the second dog from the first.
Not every individual dog is aggressive, but when it comes to children, why roll the dice? What baffles me is the propaganda from some people promoting this particular breed as "nanny dogs." It's absolute lunacy.

Some cities south of the mason Dixon line passed a law that you had to pay a large license fee to keep a pit inside city limits. The year that passed I caught a lot of pits in coyote sets out in the country. Also Our animal shelter won’t take pits.

I've always felt that because they top the dangerous dog list, any person who owns one should be held criminally liable if that dog ever attacks and maims someone. There is a good reason nearly all insurance companies will not write a homeowners policy on you if you own a pit bull or a mixed breed pit bull.

You will never convince a pit bull owner that the breed is dangerous. You might as will take a pi$$ into the wind. I went from the first post to the last without reading everything between because most of it is BS. It is like trying to argue with a democrat, you will never win! JMO

Liberalism has killed more people than ANY dogs ever have, IMO. Should all liberals be euthanized? Maybe ......but right now we're talking about killing ALL pitbulls
