The book Water Trapping at its Best came out about 1979. I couldn’t afford it then but have a copy now. I was in the authors stomping grounds of Langston, Al. Yesterday and wondered how many of those creeks I crossed were in the book. It’s a very water rich area with large lakes on the Tennessee River flowing through it. His catches were amazing. Kind of neat seeing his area.

Had a buddy who was looking to catch more fur when prices went up on coon. He bought his Mr. Farmer's book used from a friend and hammered them that season.

I remember buying that book, one thing that still comes to me is his traps. A number one long spring with another spring with the eyes cut off as a helper. I made some up, strong little trap, don’t think I have any left around. Thanks for the memories!
