Some great ideas given. Mine is a welded aluminum box with plexiglass windows. One thing to consider is that nice to be able to see the animal and their response.

I just used mine for the first time last night. My regulator was freezing up pretty bad. What causes this? The flow still seemed to work.

Just started using this to.prevent freezing. I believe it's from going from a liquid to gas?? This comes with either a US or Euro plug. Beware of you order one.

I was having freeze up issues in February when it was cold with some skunks. I stuck a Hot Hand body warmer (they have sticky tape on them) under the regulator and wrapped the regulator and hose with a towel. I would run the chamber a couple cycles without freezing. In warmer weather it will frost on the outside but I try to position it in the sun and it typically will not freeze up.

I'm curious if this would work with a dc converter. I normally carry my chamber in the back of the truck and euthanize going from house to house.

That I don't know. Generally, things that produce heat require a lot juice.

I checked out the specs on wattage draw and watt output of the converter. It appears it would work however, the cord lengths would prohibit its use. Great idea though.
