We set up in a blind on an intersection of 4 fields, lots of gobbles, but only two hens. About 7:40 I asked her how does, some coffee sound, we are about a 1/2 mile from the house. We walke out ot the utv and when we arrived I called quick and heard a gobble a long way off. So she unloadaed her gun, got in the utv, I set the decoys in,took my vest off and put it in the utv bed. Were around 7:55 now. I am ready to leave and and as usual let out one call series and I get cut off. I tell Kathy lets go. We head over about a 150 yards, set up I belly crawl out to set a couple hen decoys, set her up and crawl back a ways. I call and hes is coming. He come in full strut couple gobbles, working around a grassy swale in the hay field. At 33 yards she pulled the trigger he dropped and never even flopped around. Great shot. It is always fun to be out with my favorite hunting partner. To think she never hunted or shot a gun until we met.

I’m really happy for her. Nothing like the support of a husband to empower a woman and make her happy.
