Good.catch, I missed them not having a date. They did come out of the frozen case though. Its a local mom and pop grocery store that still cuts and packages meat in house. They are closed on Sunday so usually Friday evening they start reducing prices on the meats in the coolers, so I have no worries about the age.

Before I opened the package I weighed it and it weighed 1 pound on the dot. I cant imagine the foam tray and plastic wrap weighed 4 ounces. So the patties were still light but not as bad as the weight on the label implies.

Its a small mom and pop store. I think it just a generic label that they put on all the meat packages.

Saw a video the other day that showed someone weighing packages of chicken pieces (breasts/thighs can't remember) and the weight on the package for pricing was like 4# and the actual weight on a produce scale in the store was around 2.25#

So at least they were not cheating you out of anything
