Who is he to others ?
Who where his loves , his people?
What were his loves , his activities? like turkey hunting
Where did he give his time? organizations , clubs . ect..

answer those questions , that may lead to more questions you want to answer , but it will give you more content than you can likely get in a new paper. so online obituaries give you a lot more space to give those details and most funeral homes will publish to their page as part of the basic funeral cost.
around here the paper is once a week so people place a tiny obit to have it as a record but mainly do just the online through the funeral home web site where they can really give the space to give more info.

sadly you now leave a few things out , details that could be used to try and use his identity , the vultures will circle looking to take advantage of the family. so the family may want to make sure everyone they want to talk to is in their contacts and only answer calls from people you know , nothing is so urgent that a voice mail can't be left and called back.

I think the obituary is for the gobbler...

then it should include , he will be missed but easily replaced by his harem of hens
