The discussion at coffee this morning went something along the lines that the homestead was less than perfect when she arrived 25 years ago. Little homemade cabin was nestled in a pine thicket that was somewhat overgrown to blackberries. She often reminds me (including this morning) how she got me to take out the pines, plant a lawn, kind of tidy up and how much better it all is now.

Says I, I kind of liked it the way it was. Place was invisible to neighbors and cozy.

....Apparently that meant I regretted she ever came into my life.

An impolitic statement on your part. You should have said " I like the changes we have made but miss the privacy we had before."

It's so easy to see what others should have said, or what I should have said after the fact. In the midst of a discussion the foot seems to always get involved with the mouth.

Yeah, old enough but don't give a beaver trapper too much credit for smarts. In fact, I'm even kind of hoping to get some kindly free advice from Savell's Couples Counseling Services.

How about work on geting the freezers cleaned out so it's ready for the cow when it's finished up. If ther is not room I will buy new a freezer we need one any way.

To me their says get it done and if needed I will get us a new one.

Wife takes it as it does not need done I'm going to buy a new freezer. So I'm doing what should have been done already on my day off. Honestly I think being single is much more peaceful for men.

I know this fella who's wife was complaining that he never gave her any compliments, only criticism. He then gave her a compliment. He told her that for a big woman she didn't sweat much. She didn't take it well. They just don't know a good compliment when they hear one.

So happy she's a weirdo and will just tell me she wants and we can go from there ...makes life a lot easier lol

I had the same thing happen to me.......she still half believed it after stating (weeks later) it was a dream.

A co worker used to say "men should live with men, and only visit women for entertainment purposes, makes life much easier".....
