This first picture is from January 1981. A coon, a gray fox, a red fox, a beaver and a coyote. Nice days catch you think. I caught other stuff that day but this picture is 5 animals caught in one night on one 30 yard long trail.
The second picture I took today. It shows that location and the third picture shows the trail around the 40 foot high waterfall/dam (it is right by the biggest tree in the pic). When I was a kid we fished at the bottom of the waterfall for trout, from fisherman traffic the trail was worn right down. Any water animal coming up or goin' downstream had to use the trail. Same as fox, coons and coyotes, to cross the creek they had to walk the shoreline to the bridge just above the waterfall. Forth picture shows the view looking downstream. In the mid 1980's a guy bought the land and built the house you see. He would not allow fishing or trapping so it has not been fished or trapset since. Thru the 70's and til he bought it this was one fur producing hotspot.
Last picture is another dam I have on my line and it produces fur on the water animal portage trail but not like the old Woodbourne Falls trail. If you have a dam anywhere on your line take advantage of it.
