Well we both woke up around 1 vomiting and diarrhea. My stomach is sore from heaving.
Never again.
Chuckie had a bit of intolerance to them last year but I thought it was inconsequential. Now I think we both are allergic in some way.
Really a shame because that’s one of our favorite spring activities.

Cooking some up!

I always like to soak them in salt water for a day so all the little bugs come out of them before cooking them.

PF we do that for a couple hours! Couldn’t wait

if you let the bugs out you lose some of protein. Not to mention the natural seasoning.

It will be at least a week before we get them here. Planting trees on Tuesday there was still frost in the ground in places.

There is only ONE way to eat morels, and it is the way I described. We do not have them here in MS.... and I cannot abide seeing them RUINED by you.

Actually I'm jealous. I have never hunted for morels because I don't know if there are even any around here. But I've always wanted to try them. And I bet they would go good with deep fried fresh fish fillets.
