It's a long shot but does anybody know the model number for this vintage LL Bean tent? I got it from a friend that passed away and am trying to find information on how to set it up but can't find it anywhere online. I can't find a model name or number on it to look it up so I can figure out how the poles go. Anybody a tent or camping enthusiast and know how these tents are set up or what the model of this one might be?

Looks like a standard free standing tent. There should be a pin on each corner of the tent which goes in each corner pole, each corner pole goes in the large dia bar on the end, the longer center pole goes into the center hole, putting a slight bend in the poles. You then lift up the tent material and hook the center peak on the end poles. The rain fly goes over all and after you stake it down your done. Sounds complicated, but do it once and you can do it in the pitch dark during a rain storm. I can't remember the name of my tent but REI carries them, and if you see a pic of the tent, you will understand better. Mine also has a vestibule that adds a lot of room for gear/dogs etc.

Thanks BigBob, that helped a lot! Just figured it out. You're right, it's pretty easy once you figure it out and do it once! Thank you!

once you get it all together , colored electrical tape is your friend so you know what is what coming out of the bag then write yourself a little diagram and put it in a gallon ziplock bag in the bag with the tent

like red are uprights , black is ridge pole , ect...

You have a very early edition, all the later made tents have shock corded poles, give them a shake and they just slip together on their own.

Google TIMBERLINE TENTS and look at the pics.

The picture looks to have the cordage in the pipes.

Hmm, maybe, I was mostly looking at the cross piece that the poles go into. Mine is molded nylon and a lot smaller, those look almost home made.
