BUD DALRYMPLE book For Sale:
THE GRAY WOLF of SOUTH DAKOTA
Written by a true dyed-in-wool wolfer from the early years of the 20th century. Dalrymple was a government hunter-trapper who worked the Dakota's and Wyoming. He authored numerous articles for Fur News and Outdoor World, Hunter Trader Trapper, and other publications. He wrote and published this book in 1919, and it was originally published by the Altoona Tribune Company under the editorship and leadership of Henry W. Shoemaker, who wrote and published numerous outdoor titles of his own.
This book offered here is the 1981 printing, and is nearly as hard to obtain as the 1919 printing. I was told by Mr. Roose, in 1982 when I called to order a couple of copies that he had a limited press run, and he sold out within a few months, and didn't even save a copy for himself.
This book is illustrated through out with actual Trapline and Trail photos of Bud Dalrymple.
Book is CLEAN throughout. There is an inscription on the title page with Ben Roose's autograph. Book is in excellent condition.
