Ice fisherman use often for smelt fishing on local lake. 2 holes in the ice one for light and sonar. Other for the fishing rigs. "Some Domestication Required " Life is an adventure, Don't live it any other way !!

The originals used something akin to a car headlight. If you go that route, DO NOT run the light off the outboard motor's starting battery. Don't ask how I know. Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

beaverpeeler trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Oregon	I knew a guy that used to fish off the jetty with a submerged headlight wired up to a car battery. He caught lots of ling cod, snapper and sea bass. My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
