Not sure if it's a thing, but I bought sweet corn for $0.20/ear today. Highly doubt it came from anywhere in the US. It's good corn. I bought 3 dozen ears, blanched, cut and put in the freezer. Not a chance I will get local corn this cheap in season in MN. Strangest thing.

Our grocery store list were the product is from in WA…
I went to the dentist to save my front teeth so I could eat that and crab….

Has to be from the US. If it was tariffed corn from anywhere else it would cost you more
If you take care of the land the land will take care of you

All early corn comes out of Florida. Best corn comes from western Kansas and eastern Colorado.

Sweet corn is available from Florida from October to June.
Keith Well, he**, I hope it came from Florida! Makes me feel a lil' tingly just thinking about it.

I've become a sweet corn snob. Eat what I raise in season and am content with that. You want it fresh. Really fresh. How fresh? Put pot of water on and when it''s ready.......go out and snag some ears, then run back to the house. If you trip and fall down, those are no good..........go back and start over.
With that as the standard, I can't get excited about anything shipped in from over 1,000 miles away.

I'd have to sell my boat and my enclosed trailer and cut down a 70 year old maple tree to gain enough ground to plant enough sweet corn to last me a week. I reckon, I'll have to do it my way, for now.

I noticed corn on the cob in the stores here a few weeks ago and thought what the heck, where is that coming from.
Label said product of Mexico.

Southern tip of Florida is my guess. The highway going south from west of Miami, to homestead, has quite a bit of agriculture, and sweetcorn.

Southern tip of Florida is my guess. that would be mine as well , SC just south of Charleston was picking fresh strawberries 2 weeks ago. south Florida has had temps in the 80s for a month on and off so if they are a month ahead of SC they could definitely be starting to pick corn.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
