I sent my stuff to Furharvesters for the June sale but I was curious what would be paid at the truck. I went down and watched today. We are in good fur country, 25 miles from the Canadian border. This is what I saw.
Beaver- (stretched) :
I saw 1 big blanket go for 25. Most blankets went for 20. Smaller sizes -14,8,4.
Frozen- I saw 1 go for 20. Then 14, 8, 4. A lot of them went for 8. Especially if they were frozen in a ball instead of stretched out.
2 real nice mink (stretched)went for 10 each.
Rats (stretched), 1 or 2 bucks.
Otter ( frozen and stretched) went for 20 tops.
Castor- $20 a pound
Some people walked, most sold.
That is what I observed. Maybe a little more was paid for something and I missed it, but this is pretty much what was paid.

I didn't see any while I was there. One guy had a couple of coyotes. I didn't hear what they went for.

I'm hoping there is some upside on my nicer Spring beaver up at Furharvesters. Usually I have a few nice surprises on the bigger ones. In this market, however, I'm not really sure what to expect.
