Back to the 300 BO. I have a couple bolt guns that I run suppressed. Very useful round at 50 yards subsonic.

Local youth love them.

The military stuff isn't my thing but I will admit that I never knew Westinghouse made any. I never even looked to see what maker these were. I had a plan for them but the price got up to make it cost prohibitive.

They were a pretty good gun, basically a rimmed 308. Decent ammunition or reloadable brass was sometimes hard to find though. Still wish I would have bought a few back when you could pick them up for about $75 a pop.

https://www.rockislandauction.com/d...model-1891-mosin-nagant-rifle-model-1891

it was 1915-1919 Westinghouse and Rem made about 280K of them

if you see a hex receiver , start looking for markings , not all hex receivers are US but all US were hex receivers.

Good to know. The crate sold for just North of $5500 so it was more than I wanted to spend on my project.

Used a 300 BLK OUT for a couple years deer hunting. Lots of run aways and most found to late .
