My son and family stopped for the afternoon and my son wanted to go turkey hunting for a few hours. We headed to the ranch and dropped him off in the hills and I went back to main place to do some work. About two hours later I thought I heard a shot but I'm well over a mile away so wasn't sure. A little while later I got the text, I got one!! Lol

Cell service is terrible, but he climbed up and got a text to me. I went and picked him up and took care of the bird at main yard. He said he heard a couple distant gobbles and had 5 hens walk right by and not a Tom following. This guy came walking through I suppose sometime later following the hens. It was a big bird coming in at lust under 25 lbs.

Was so nice to be able to spend a little hunting with him he is so busy with his career and family and doesn't make enough time for him, but he can't.

Fantastic! Good for him and a great memory for you both.
