I made a large batch of castor lure (3 pints). Fresh (non-dried) castor (frozen last year), glycerin and 100 Proof. How do I store this until next year? Freezer? Should I age it? Is that with cap on/off?

Depending upon the amount of Vodka per batch you won't need to worry about freezing it. Just put it out of the sun for storage until it is needed.

Did you tincture the castor in vodka or add the vodka as part of the lure?

I added the 100 proof as part of the lure.

Im chuckling. When I moved west from Minnesota in 1989 I brought along a lot of my lure in bottles,, The bottled beaver castor smells just like it did 30 years ago,,

All the castor was very finely ground, and was bottled on cold days so the castor stayed suspended when bottling bottled in a 50/50 propylene, and glycerin mixture, no alcohol

Also did the same with oil sacs, mink glands, skunk essence and muskrat glands
