It is hard enough to release them with foot hold, I can't imagine trying to get the cutters under the wire to cut that in a snare. Very impressive.....jk

Large male in one of the lured 750s this morning (Backbreaker is the lure).

Didn't replace the snare that snagged the otter as there is another snare on opposite side.

Also not sure if Im at the main dam as there is so much tree damage from the last hurricane in this cypress swamp that I can't walk thru there to see....so its catch'em at this easy spot or not. Tore a hole in this dam today...we'll see soon if they're partial to that water level at this dam.

There is some old otter scat there.

Im hoping they miss those snares.

You not know how to avoid otter's with snares? Why i always went to them in the summer months as well as not have to fool with the 2 million snapping turtles at every spot.

Let me in on your skills. I miss 99% of the otters in 9" or 10" loops, but other than loops size, I may need more tips.

Paul is who came up with it not me. Put your lock at the 2 or 10 o'clock position, makes it less 'sensitive'. Otter usually slink on through pulling them down stretched out.

Dang! I was hoping for some Earth-shattering info. I've been hanging beaver snares with lock at 2 or 10 for decades.

That's probably why I've only snared 3 or 4 in 40 plus years.

Thanks anyway!

Also load my snares for a round loop....but that load will make the snare jump when its bumped at the bottom.

LOL I love the looks on the faces of school bus drivers and truckers when they pull up behind me. Eyes bugging out, doing double takes, taking pictures... lol
