Missed by an inch. Ball stopped behind the pin and everyone in my group thought it was an ace. I made the putt.

If they thought you had made the Deuce this story would take on a whole new twist.

I have nothing clever to put here.

At my course, if your a member of the Men's Golf Association, you have "hole-in-ole" insurance that covers the drinks if you make a HIO

Never made a hole in one. Hit a drive to within 5’ of the hole on a 420’ par 4 once. Hit the cart path on the fly that crossed in front of the green about 150 out. The bounce was epic. The 4 some that was still on the green were as surprised as I was.

Had a ball hit the edge of the hole.......half a ball mark on the edge. Kicked forward to hit the flag stick and spun out about 6 inches out. Was a charity scramble event and group in front of us had been talking smack. They were standing around the green to witness.........they went pretty quiet after that.

But what I feel better about, on home course, I made birdie on every hole and eagle on both par 5's.......at least once. I'd take that over hole in one any day. Brother in law has a hole in one and he has never broke 100 in his life.

Bad day for me when I dont birdle at least 2 of our par 5s especially since i can reach em all in 2 with a hybrid or less unless wind is up

I finally got a Hole In One on a 193 yard par 3. I started playing when I was 7 or 8 years old, hacking around the yard with a sawed-down 7 iron, and played regularly through school. Worked at a Country Club after college, then didn't play in for several years after moving to Kodiak. Picked it back up in Juneau, Alaska, but didn't get an Ace until i was 57 years old. That's a lot of golf before a hole in one. Thousands of rounds.

Just doing what I want now.

I used to sit next to mike at work. I had golfed before but just random saturdays throughout the summer. mike was the first guy to make me a full time weekly golfer. He got a hole in one once with his buddies at normal league or whatever. He was a golf nut so it was a big deal and they celebrated I'm sure. He was pretty churchy, so not celebrate celebrate. Anyway they were looking for a condo. His wife called and said i have the perfect place come meet me. so he went to meet her and the place was just kinda neat not like wow and so he wondered why she thought she found the perfect spot. Imagine he had driven through the coldesack to get there right. Well then she opened the drapes to the back glass sliding door and out the back door of their soon to be condo was the green he got a hole in one on. He lived there for the rest of his life. He got a call to go pick his son up from a dui encounter in the middle of the night and fell over dead in his garage going to get him. Say a prayer for Mike. Love ya Mike. Anyway, thats the best hole in one story I know of. p.s. I work somewhere else right next to that golf course now.

Not yet!

I've stuck a couple pretty close. Won a nice Vokey wedge a year ago. Was up at Treetops and they were having a fundraiser for Folds of Honor on a par 3, was like $10 to get in. On the green got you a sleeve of balls, inside 3' got you a $200 Vokey and hole in 1 got a grand or something.

I killed a canada goose that was walking across the fairway a fews years back with a low screamer. I counted that as a birdie. Also managed a couple hole in ones over the years.
