I've been on the search for a reliable pair of cheap chest waders for the last several years. Even when I have spent more money to buy a supposedly more reliable set of waders they still will leak in the first year of use.
The past trapping season I wore waders for roughly 120 to 130 days according to my check records. I never sprung a leak all season!! No punctures or leaking seams the whole time! That's the first time this has happened in many years.
The waders were only 180 bucks and were being sold by "Guide Gear" as breathable chest waders. From below zero to Temps in the sixties I stayed dry and comfortable.
The size 12 fit my size 11- 1/2 foot great and lots of ankle support also. The heel lugs made it easy to kick them off at night.
Only downside was it took a couple months for the smell of the adhesive used in the manufacturing to dissipate.
They were light, comfortable, warm, durable and most importantly waterproof.
Maybe I just got lucky when I bought these. Time will tell. In the mean time would like to hear from anybody else that has bought this brand of waders.
(As a sidenote, one thing I have learned over the years is to shut off the floor vent in your vehicle so hot air is not blowing on the waders foot as it can weaken the adhesive in the seams.)
