I’ve been taking anti inflammatory drugs for way too long. I’ve got two new knees and hope to get a new hip this year and the other is not far behind. What natural remedies do you take. Trying to get off the prescription drugs that the docs hand out.

Yep, diet change. I cut out 90% of my sugar intake and can tell a world of difference!

Been off all seed oils for almost a year . Almost no sugar and not much alcohol. Lost 35 lbs by changing my diet. Haven’t been this weight since my early twenties but when I skip the meloxican I’m up half the night. I’ve looked at non pharmaceutical’s but wandering if anyone has anything that has worked for them

I've got 2 new knees and hips, arthritis all through my body, shoulders are bone on bone....I went on a low carb diet and lost 32 pounds and feel better, not great but better, take a ibuprofen or naproxen occasionally when I overdo, no other meds. Nothing I took before really helped for long anyway...Good luck

Got a knee replaced in 2006. Terrible infection. Antibiotics for 23 months. The same knee was replaced again in 2012. Still hurts day and night. Ortho docs won't touch it now. Feels like arthritis under the kneecap is binding my knee when I straighten it. Feels like there is a sponge under my kneecap.

Had PT many times. After about the third session my knee gets so inflamed I can't continue.

Whatever you do stay off of Prednisone. My rheumatologist prescribed that at first, she (the Dr.) said if I didn't notice any change in a week she would try Hydroxychloroquine. The Prednisone didn't work, I did some research during that week and after learning of the side effect I decided I wasn't going to stay on it regardless. She switched me to Hydroxychloroquine and it was like a miracle. It's cheap and no side effects.

I was diagnosed with MS in 2020. What prompted this was going mostly blind on my left side. Eye doc did a ton of tests, told me he thinks I have a brain tumor. Optomologist found the same. MRI said tons of brain and spine lesions, one on my optic nerve, on to the neurologist. He prescribed 1,000 mg of Prednisone per day. Buddy’s wife was a PA, she said she can only prescribe 300/day. The pharmacist told me he called to verify this was correct. He said good luck. I did 1000 per day for 5 days. I went insane by day 5. I went to fill my “ween off” script. The pharmacist asked how I was doing. I said it wasnt great. He told me in 15 years, hes never heard of anything remotely close to this being prescribed.
MD’s are absolute quacks that play God. And nothing more.

I've had both shoulders and hips replaced. Also 2 screws in my left heel. All arthritis. Now I have spinal stenosis. Arthritis in the lumbar region. pinched nerve. Can't walk very far. (Read several hundred feet) before pain and numbness so bad my leg gives away. Three pain pills plus tylenol daily.Seriously thinking of surgery about July.

I have mild congestion from alergies most of the year. Benedryl is well known for making people sleepy. I take one or two Benedryl pills (standard dose is 2) at night, partly for alergies, partly for sleep.

I agree with being careful about prednisone. I think that's the one my wife was on a few years ago. She got very confused while on it. I took her to the dr and and went in with her to talk for her. She couldn't carry on a coherant conversation. Dr said that reaction is somewhat rare but does happen. Once it was out of her system, she was back to normal.

It actually works has been a good bit of research on it’s affecting various types of chronic pain

I have bad pain in my finger joints and feet and have found that taking turmeric helps I add a 1/2 tbls to my supper and can bend my fingers for the day where a half fist was the best I could do without bad pain

X2 on the turmeric. My hands are the same, and diet is really important. A year ago, I was putting a topical on 3-4 times a day, and still hurting. Also started eating ground flaxseed, sunflower seeds and chia seeds every day, with great success. It takes a week or two for the seeds to kick in, but worth the wait. Eat the flaxseed and chia seeds in a smoothie and the sunflowers on a salad every day.. Only use a topical now when a storm is brewing and the barometer is falling!

I never had turmeric work for me, or any other "natural" cures like apple cider vinegar, herbs, etc.... glad they help some people though.

I’ll have to start grinding the flax, chia and sunflower seeds. I eat a lot of flax seed but not ground up.

Relieve.

There is something or things in bee venom that can give relief to arthritis. Years before I was a bee keeper I saw a special on this. People were intentionally geting stun in the study. It was all medical in different locations and with medical equipment out in bee yards.

At the time I thought people are ignorant and will believe anything and do anything and forgot about it.

I swell when stung and had no interest in beekeeping but the wife wanted to so I told her ok but I don't like getting stun so it will be your thing not mine. Well I turned out to be the bee keeper over time.

Arthritis snuck up on me. I noticed my hands hurt a lot Then wouldn't bother me for a while then would start bothering me again. it took some time but I finally put it together over a few years. My hands hurt when it is not bee seasion and some in the summer ( why I thought it was something to do with the cold weather and hand bothering me ) I figured out the in the summer periods where when I went a long time and didn't get any stings.

It finally all clicked And I figured out my hands are not as stiff and ache for a few weeks or so after I have got a few stings. I also stoped swelling up and having as bad of reaction from stings.

before if I had a sting I would swell some and have some discomfort around the stings if I got multiple stings even a few days apart the swelling would be much worse on subsequent stings. Face stings were the worst for swelling. A sting above my eye would swell my eye shut.

Today Stings are a mild discomfort limited swelling if I get a lot of stings face stings still swell some but not a lot.

Good example when I started 2 stings on the same hand would have ot like a boxing glove feeling like it would split open from the swelling when I started. compaires to now last year I was working bees during the Darth and light rain in the evening( worst time for grouchy bees and they are all home but it was when I had time) I caught 17 stings on my left hand alone that day and only had very minor swelling and discomfort. So I guess I have built up a tolerance. And my bees typically are not aggressive. Big black bird told me there would be no way I could work bees like this in his yard without bee gear when I sent this to him when my 14 year old and I went through our few remaining hives a few weeks back. That said my youngest can be 25' away in the bed of my truck and my 14 year old and I in our 9 hive of the day halfway through it with no gear on and my 12 year old will start geting stung and end up running back home. For some reason they don't like him or like to stin him.

Flax seeds need to be ground for your system to process. I would be careful about using too much sunflower or chia, both hi in carbs and Omega 6 fatty acids. Try using coconut oil.

I've seen arthritis categorized as an autoimmune disease. Most autoimmune diseases are caused by leaky gut. Leaky gut is from eating too many carbs, sugar, alcohol, and antibiotics and NSAIDS. Yeah, I know, they told us years ago all these things were safe.

I know that alfalfa tablets work pretty well for tendonitis, not sure for arthritis. Usually takes 5-6 tablets each day.
