Seems like most of my calves follow my bull around.

I’ve seen bison do that few times, not always. Every now and then a sweet old cow will have an entourage of weaned calves/yearlings in tow.

Beats me but if you can keep them alive for a few more months that's $14000 walking behind that old cow.

Everyone wants to buy a few head right now and make a few bucks. Once markets drop they panic and sell off. Market flood of Burger King beef.

How much did the cow boys cost to catch them

Over at my bosses working in the shop. His cattle got out. So I asked him where he kept his horses. Has none. Gathered em up on 4wheelers. Lot of cow calf operations here with no horses. When they need one roped they hire it done. My grandson does a lot of that for folks on the side. His job he rides a horse every day. Also makes money riding other peoples horses on his job. Charges by the month. He gets a few that are a handful but seems to have a knack for it. Buys well bred horses cheap that have never been rode. Rides them a couple months and sells them. Still a few cowboys left. The people that pay him to ride their horse and the people that buy them from him are often just people that keep them as pets.
