Haul them home and relocate them into Lake Crisco. Best deep fried fish around.

Man I love me some fried bluegill and perch. I don’t like to filet them. Just scale, gut and cut off the head. Leave the fins on.

Channels , flatheads and blues are the best eating fish out there and I’ve ate them all and still do so I agree with the Texan

Channels are very hit and miss here. Fun to catch but I won't even skin them. Flathead are great and the only time I ate it, blue cat was great as well. I'd take flathead belly over walleye or any other freshwater fish for that matter.... but those gills are very good too.

My favorite freshwater fish. After I fill up on bluegill I use the rest of them to catch flathead. My second favorite fish to eat.

Most people that say they don't like catfish is because it wasn't cleaned properly, or wasn't cooked right. Been to a few church fish fries that served catfish that would choke a stray cat. Two large of a chunk, undercooked in 300 deg grease, and full of fat and dark meat.

On bigger fish, say 15 lb and over, if you cut the tail off and let them bleed out it makes a world of difference.
