you might want to get that rash looked at , if that is bacterial it could spread bad or maybe ring worm.

Nice bass. Love me some fried bass fillets. Many waters need harvest to keep the fishery healthy and enhance growth rates.

United we stand.

I took a fisheries class the last year of college. The study was on the mortality rate of tournament fish released in the summer months. If I remember correctly, 80-90% died within 30 days of being released after weigh in.

I fished several tournaments out of LOZ and there was always a guy with a cooler to take fish to be cleaned that the tournament director deemed unfit to be turned loose. Nothing like seeing dozens of floaters in the cove of a public ramp is why they did it.

I have seen the turtles eating the dead ones along with many more about floating but still a little kick of the tail left after the tournament. But at least the judgmental bass gus get to feel good about tossing them back.

I have also had the biologists tell my cousin the fish in his lake were stunted and they needed to put stuff in it to kill them all off and restock. didn't sit right and not going to happen because his water came out of the lake. the fix took about 3 years but we just droped the larger bass we caught into his lake and took out a bunch of small ones. The big ones that lived ate a lot of stunted fish and the lake is a great fishing lake now.
