Migration has finally showed up, more birds every day and some warblers as well.
I’ve got a water feature in my yard that is excellent at attracting birds. They love the sound of running water and with the dry conditions they are really using it hard.

Sorry to go sideways, but those are some fantastic pictures of yardbirds also Tray! I am awaiting my Cedar Waxwings myself…. But on their behalf, I’ve not been out looking much yet.

Back in the 70's there was a Yard Birds hardware store in Chehalis Washington that had huge bins of about every trap made. Bins of 48 Newhouse, 14's, and about evrything else. I remember standing by those bins once, talking to a real oldtimer who had trapped marten on a wilderness trapline in the Cascade mountains during the 19'teens. Those were the days.
Anyway, the title of this thread got me thinking about past years.
