KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Champaign County, Ohio.	At 25', with a clear view of the tail, I could sex a larger, adult snapping turtle. Males have longer and thicker tails. Their cloaca is closer to the tip of the tail, than a female. The females have a shorter, thinner tail and the cloaca is close to the shell. Keith
