I own swaro, Zeiss, and Leupold products. I like them all, but Leupold is very good and easy to work with if you have any problems with their products. BTW, I have never seen one of their scopes fog-up.

You don’t need to worry about Zeiss warranty because they don’t break. John, I have at least 4 of the v4’s and a couple hd5’s. They are my favorites. I’ve got swaros and trijicons as well. I’m gonna catch heck for this, but I’ve never been a fan of leupold glass at any level. In fact I’ll go out on a limb and say I’d prefer the glass on the trijicon Huron series over any leupold I’ve had in the past. I own zero now. All Zeiss, Swaro, or trijicons

Side note, when you get your Zeiss, pony up the money and get you a set of American Rifle company rings to go with it

Own both , never had a Zeiss go bad. Zeiss glass, stands right up there with Swaro, & Kahles. Zeiss LR S 3&5 excellent. Own those bad boys also. My Leuopold are older models but still good scopes

I'm looking at a new leupold, but I may go with the VX6. Looked through one and pretty much sold me.

I can’t vouch for Zeiss warranty, but Leupold is top notch. I had a cheaper vx3 that had issues holding zero on a muzzle. I sent in for warranty in early September, no proof of purchase required. I told them that there’s no big rush as I had old glass that would get me through the week I intended to use it at the end of October. They guaranteed me I’d have something back within a couple weeks. 10 days later it’s back home with a detailed spec sheet of what they all did. They found something loose inside. Bolted her on and she held true. I’ve got one Conquest series Zeiss and I like it. If I ever decide to pull the trigger on Christensen Arms, I’m topping it with a lower end Swarovski. The weight difference is pretty noticeable compared to Zeiss & Leupold in the same price range.

I have a couple of the VX6’s. A first year model and a newer HD model. For the magnification range and bang for the buck I don’t know why I would go any other route myself. If you own a VX6, I would think you’ve already sold yourself on its merits if you have used it in the field much. Rugged, dependable, great glass, and made right here in the good old U.S.A. not saying there are other scopes with the same attributes, but the fact it has U.S.A. stamped on it is the deal sealer for me.

Leopold has a great warranty and service. Jeff Corn who built my long range rig got me sold on them when he told me he was hunting out west and slipped and his riffle went down the mountain messing up his scope. He sent it in with a note saying what happened and to charge his account to fix it if it could be fixed. 2 weeks later he opened his mail box and had a new scope in there no charge with note simply thank you for choosing Leopold. A friend's uncle had one from the 70s that was fogging up or glass becoming un clear(I didn't see it just told the story) He finally took it out of the cabinet sent it in and got back a new top end optic as similar as they had in the current line.
But cheap Burris has a good warranty I had one that would not adjust correctly sent it in and had a new one in less than 7 days.
I like US made and the good scopes are a save up and typically take me over a year to decide on . Sometimes I do just want to try something different and see what it's all about.

All Zeiss, Swaro, or trijicons Even though I'd probably not consider owning any other scope than a Leupold, I agree with you on Leupold glass. However, considering that it's on a scope rather than something like a spotting scope, I can live with it. I am not brand loyal; I have a Swaro spotting scope, Zeiss binos, Leupold rifle scopes, and a Leica range finder. They weren't all just bought randomly, I compared them all before purchase. I can spend literally hours a day looking through a spotting scope, whereas on seconds per year looking through a rifle scope.

Can you tell any difference in the VX6 gen 1 from the Gen 2?
