Think about her and get home safe,,…..! I do what I can, I’ve been pretty successful so far. I did return to her with a broken collarbone once, but that was because a piece of bark cut loose of a cedar log I was walking down, and I landed on a stump below me after I went behind over tea kettle

I have 3 of them, the 261 and 500i are the best saws ever produced in my opinion. This is number…I’m not actually sure, I’d have to look back through my folder of receipts from the past several years, but I want to say it’s my 7th one. But I only run a powerhead 1 year then it goes in the shed as a backup/parts saw. And I’ve been known to double down and buy 2 of things at a time. I like redundancy. You probably cut more in a month than my crew does in a year. I wear out a 201t every year but out bigger saws last until someone hits them with a machine usually...

I handled one of those. Reminded me of the OLD 372s but with more grunt.
It's 10 cc bigger than the 372. 10 cc larger, electronic fuel injection and .7 lbs lighter. 13.9 lb vs 14.6lb for the Husky. Saw shop let me fire a 500 I up last month and the throttle response was crazy. Prime it them pull the cord no standard choke tell pop then take off choke to start.

I have 3 of them, the 261 and 500i are the best saws ever produced in my opinion. I just bought a 261 for a small lighter saw for my boys. 50 cc about 10 lb and .4 base horse power. compared to over 12lb for my 361 60 cc 4.3 bhp as from the factory before 18 years of use and having it soupped up. smaller thiner bar as well. the little I have ran it for cutting as desined that little 261 is great. buried and ripping it will plug up and could use more low end torque but that's not what it's for just had a big for our area tree and had to rip it down to be able to move it. the 361 with 4" longer bar and thicker bar did Handel the ripping better and not plug up. I have not had the 261 hopped up yet and can't wait to see how it does when it is.

I have an echo 2511 and had it opened up when I bought it. Figured for the price if it didn't have enough power I could also get the larger echo and have 2 saws one for a back up for the price if one top handled sthil. since it's only 4 lbs vs 8 I thought it may be better for my out of shape body when climbing. Well it woks or did but as expected from a 25 cc saw has no power..
I have not used it much since I have not done any tree work for years and it's only use has been personal use taking down a few dieing maples over the house and a little cutting on the ground when the kids were small it was so easy for them to use. Last time I went to use it it didn't hardly turn the chain. I put it up grabbed a different saw and have not looked at it since to figure out what the problem is. My 14 year old reminded me about it in the last 2 weeks after he tried to use it for some quick cutting.
Echos have always been easy to start and reliable but low powered from all I have ran. Not sure what's going on with this one.

I seen an Echo one time, but although they are a fairly big name back east and on the internet, They just aren't around, or any dealers for them out here. Pretty much Stihl and Husky out here, with some old Homelites and Poulans thrown in for cheap, small saws. Used to be some McColloughs around for the cheap, off brand saw niche for the homeowner, but they were about the most unreliable thing I've ever seen.
The bigger Husky's werent bad saws, I got a 385 off a friend that tried it for falling. I cut a lot of firewood with that saw, but compared to a Stihl, comparing apples to apples the Huskys are usually heavier and they don't have the chain speed. I know in the smaller "homeowner" saws they had went a lot cheaper,

Definitely the strangest “pro” saws I’ve ever seen. I actually didn’t mind how they feel in the hands, but he was an idiot for thinking 70cc’s was adequate for using on any of these islands. The pre commercial thinning crews run 70cc power heads…
