I've done two beaver jobs in north Florida in 10 years...and had to apply for a special permit to use bodygrips and footholds. I was able to obtain the permit.....just took a month to get it. If FWC gets these reg changes passed......trappers will be able to use BMP-approved traps and get the job done....without special permits. Thank God For Your Blessings! Never Half-Arse Anything! Swamp Wolf OP trapper Joined: Apr 2009 South Ga - Almost Florida	For those that don't know...Florida is currently one of a handful of states that CANNOT use steel trap (footholds, bodygrips, or DPs) except with a special permit. FWC is attempting to "fix" this by instituting trapping regs based on BMPs. If passed, this will allow regulated use of these steel traps in Florida again. Everyone on Tman should take the time to do the survey and comment....in the name of supporting trapping. It will be historic for Florida trappers to get their traps back.
