Somewhere between 2 and 3. We are on the tail end of an ice age, so warmer isn’t surprising, but we could not cause that to happen if we were trying to. People have a puffed up mindset about how important our role is on this planet, if we all died tomorrow it would be hard to tell we were ever here after a few years. Anyone who lives outside of a metropolitan area knows what I mean, without constant maintenance nature will take back its space

Carbon credits are the biggest scam of them all. They’re an excuse to lock down old growth timber, because they claim it’s saving the planet. The only way to permanently store that carbon is make boards out of it (or pianos, guitars, whatever). Trees absorb carbon as they grow, old growth isn’t growing, it’s at the final stage of its life cycle, so it absorbs no carbon, but releases a bunch when it blows over and rots. If they want to sell carbon credits, they should be looking at reprod units
