Have fun, We are waiting on cabinets and then new appliances. Did a complete gut of the kitchen, 1954 version. Yuck and a ton of work but long overdue! It was exhausting, but will be so nice. Completed a total master bathroom remodel two years ago. Built a big walk-in shower, cabinets, and floor, it is so nice and turned out great. Good luck.

Looking good so far, tearing things down is a major first step, and it already looks like the space is opening up. Remodeling an older kitchen is no small job, especially with low ceilings or tight layouts, but it’s always worth it in the end.

If you’re thinking about ways to open things up or make it feel a bit more spacious, this article on small kitchen ideas has a few useful tips. Nothing crazy, just smart little changes like open shelving, lighter colors, or even swapping hardware and lighting to help things feel less boxed in.

Looks like you might need a new roof with those leak stains on the ceiling.

A couple days left on the last bathroom, redid the whole house inside,4 bathrooms , 7 bedrooms, kitchen ,living room, all the trim is new. Took out walls for the kitchen plus 2 paver patios. Took 4 years, I'm getting old.

Good lord Rat, that’s what you get for having a 7 bedroom 4 bathroom house crazy

Bruce replace those stained tiles while you’re at it. You won’t regret it . Good luck with the project
