Our local Fresh Thyme grocery has thick cut bacon @ $3.99/# and have a $5 off coupon if you buy $45+ worth of fresh meat (bacon included). So, I picked up 12# of bacon today for about $42. Seemed like a pretty good deal.

I buy bulk, fresh bacon at a local deli. It varies in price frequently, but usually ranges between $3.50 and $4.50 a pound. It's much better than any of the prepackaged bacon. It shrinks during cooking much less too. It's not pumped full of water like the store bacon. It's cut better too. It's made locally from hogs raised within 15 miles of here. We no longer buy the prepackaged bacon.

Wife picked up #15 of bulk last month $5 lb it’s working out well I’m getting 3 slices with my eggs now. Believe it or not Menards has Black Label on sale at times 1.5 lbs that never disappoints.

The wife goes to Walmart and I go to Menards and we both buy bacon at the same time without planning on it.

Found an off label bacon at Lidle last month on an unadvertised sale for 2 bucks a pound, bought all the decent looking stuff, 5# worth...pretty good bacon too!...Same stuff is around 3 and change yesterday.

Son in law owns a food distribution business and gets frozen and sometimes fresh bacon in 10lb boxes. I pay $15-20 a box and bring it home and chamber seal it in smaller packages.

Make our own buckboard, $1.69 per pound pork butt, seasoning and smoke. $2.00 or less.

What is not higher in price 80 20 burger $5 or higher.

Fresh Thymes peppered bacon is worth paying full price for! Catching it on sale, or with a coupon just makes it that much better.

I try not to pay too much attention if it’s things I need (like bacon). My wants and frivolities I pay more attention to, because I don’t have to have them. But things that make my world go round like bacon and Copenhagen, I don’t pay any mind, I’m gonna pay whatever they’re selling it for anyways, so why bother myself about it?

I did get 6# of that and 6# regular. It is good bacon.

Good quality thick sliced bacon where you can smell and taste the smoke will cost between 5 & 7 dollars a pound.We don't eat garbage so when we want bacon we pay for the good stuff.
