a little nuisance work and occasional tree.
I spend more on tools and supplies than I make ,but it pays for the tools sometimes.
do we consider volunteer gigs side hustles ? Volunteer shooting sports instructor. Volunteer chef some times. Elected but volunteer range director. Volunteer emergency manager.
it all takes time , in most cases the pay is helping kids or community.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I just started a second business with a partner, who's been a friend of mine for over 20 years. It's a nursery business. We got our LLC the week before Easter. We have two locations, one here in Champaign County and one in Wilmington, Ohio. We passed our first state inspection and should have a second inspection in mid June. The goal is to have employees selling for us at several locations per week, including flea markets, farmer's markets, shows and festivals, plus I'll sell here.
This will be the first time I had a partner since 2008. I had a security company with a partner from 1995 to 2008.
I had/have a mostly wholesale pet sale business since 1989, that has metamorphed greatly over the years.
I'm also planting for a U-Pick, but that probably won't be profitable for at least 3 years.
I've only worked for other people 6 years, since reaching adulthood and always had my own projects going at the same time. I have a strong tendency to do whatever interests me, that I enjoy, for a living. It's very easy to make money in America, doing what you want, if you're willing to work. It's one of the greatest things about our country.

If one works at a company that employs 20 or more folks; like a coal mine, railroad, equipment place etc. Then it is a pretty good gig to wake up 2 hours earlier and cook a bunch of breakfast tacos and wrap them in foil. Nothing spectactular, just bacon, egg, cheese one day, and sausage or chorizo egg and cheese the other days. Guarantee you can sell them for $5 a piece at work.

I remodel fur and go to fairs and festivals as a vendor. Being retired it gives me something to do. I make a bit more on my catch, get out of the house, and always let people know I trap using ethical methods.

Sides hustles pay you money. Do they require money as in proffit or do othe types of gains qualify? Say access to hunt/trap/fish, paying for new equipment or tools you want but now had no cash or reduce cost to you. How about tax advantages Like on paper you lost money but now you pay 15 k less in taxes. Or maybe making commotion that lead to future opportunities. I have traded laber and work as well. Like tree removal or trading a bird dogs for gun or 4 wheeler as payment full or partial. Everyone had their own measure Mine is not always cash. My son just bid weed eating around a lake. Guy said he was a little above his budget now but would call when he was ready. My son loves to fish I suggested if he is 2nd guessing his pricing.was to high now he didn't get it right away( he is 14 and leaving to bid his work) He could call the guy back and offer to reduce his price some for permission to fish and so he could get some before and after pictures for advertisements.

If you buy stuff right at auctions and estate sales you can make surprising money flipping it at Flea Markets on Saturdays, Sundays or both days. I've done as low as 30.00 and as high as 800.00. Sometimes the crowd aint right or you get rained out....I usually get there at daylight and stay till noon or so. I intended on doing that with used chisel chain grinders. It’s amazing how cheap you can get stuff when someone gets fired in a logging camp (particularly guys from the lesser 48 who now have to pay their way home with tail tucked) but I’ve only ever sold one, now I just have 5 chain grinders and more saws than I can run with my 2 hands
