Seems like most bidding on those online auctions happens in the last 10 minutes. You should plan to be online when that lot closes. Yep!!! I got a good friend that is a pro at online auctions. He will do the bidding for me and it is his hobby and pass time. He is early 6o's and has had a few strokes so he buys and sells. Thanks

Many online auctions have a soft ending, where if someone bids within the last 5 minutes, 5 more minutes is added to the auction. This goes on as long as more bids are received within the new, last 5 minutes. It makes it hard to bid snipe. It's best to bid shortly before the final 5 minutes. If you wait to the last second, after it re-ups by 5 minutes, smart bidders, who are tending their bids, are likely to get angry and bid higher, than they would if you bid earlier.
When bidding on any auction, with open bids, you never want to do anything that gets your opposing bidder's ego involved or your ego either. A good live auctioneer will make bidders angry at each other, so they recklessy bid higher than they otherwise would bid. Auctioning is a cool performance art form. There's tons to learn.

Keith Yes, a lot to learn. I set an amount I will bid too if it goes higher I'm out. I'm not paying more then what I'm will to pay. I'm having that guy bid on saddle chinches, horse bits, axes and horse blankets. A set amount for each lot is all I ever go.

My experience has been that traps sell for way too much in online auctions
Don't know who is buying them or for what purpose but definitely sell for way more than you can buy them on the classifieds here.
Don't forget to figure in the buyer's premium and fees they tack on into your bid Yes, that has been the case on a few 330's recently. They went for 30$ a piece. Lol

Online auctions I usually bid the most I will pay for them and let the auction go. Some get caught up in the bidding frenzy and end up over paying. I would say $55 -$60 depending on the manufacturer and condition. It might be what I tell the guy to do on the traps. Bid the highest I would go and see what happens. The chinches and bits I will play the game on those items though. I really want those items but I will never or bid them and will need to get a good buy or I walk away.

Update on the sale. I paid 20$ but most likely could have got them for 5$ less.
5 double long springs a mix of #3 & #4's, 1 coil spring and 1 280 conibear that has never been used. Trap all in excellent shape so got them for $2.85 a piece. I'm happy!!
