Hate it when a coyote takes your gopher and your trap. This time it left me a pile to thank me.

I feel your pain! Gotta anchor well, just in case.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

Wait, exactly what do you use to anchor your gopher traps to coyote proof them?

I just figure I’m going to lose some mole traps every year. I don’t sweat it.

Never found a way to anchor cinch traps.

I have lost more mole captures in traps to coon then anything here in the East. Some of those moles get to the surface a little when caught and wiggle aroung enough it most likely gets some attention.

I am sure I may have lost some to owls also in the same manner. Those small Trapline traps are very light in weight so with a little wire surveyor flag anchoring the trap it is no match for larger animals to pull out.

Yep have lost a few that way. It really hurts when a bear takes a newer 330 and beaver.

I think any animal that walks by and sees, hears, or smells the mole in the trap is going to take advantage of the easy meal. I once found one of my traps a few feet away in the bushes, but that was a rare gift, lol.
