Giant! Funny story, last year a landowner asked me about trapping beaver on his property. He said he had some really big beaver in his swamp, some approached 250 lbs. I jokingly said, I might need your tractor to get them to the truck.

I do remember seeing that in the paper years ago. I thought it was caught in the Dunbar area and was 110 pounds..

That beaver belonged to Winona. She kept it caged up with cyclone fence and fed it Taco Bell.

That's probably the 4th or 5th time I've seen this pic on Trapperman.

I believe this was taken at Fur Harvesters auction just in the past few years. No information on it.

I have taken "red" beaver before. They didn't grade well.

Just doing what I want now.

Haha. He sent me that pic off his phone when I met him in Escabana at the FHA table. That’s the one where people were calling me out on the $750 beaver Gary bought at the auction. It was in the beginning before all the other beaver went. If you weren’t watching live, you missed it.

I did see more lighter colour beaver in Saskatchewan. Seems it’s more common out west.

I get quite a few pale ones like that on our river. Never one that big though! They seem to come from the sections of river with lots of clay. Not sure if the clay in water bleaches them out or what.
