Youngest was practicing notching saplings and [Linked Image]

Was watching his cuts so much he didn't notice he got his leg in contact with the bar untill he say the orange fibers on the ground.. He looked shocked then like he was afraid I was going to be mad the chaps got cut. I think he was surprised when I just smiled and said aren't you glad you had chaps on. Not the reaction he was expecting it didn't compute and he had to say say hu and I had ro repeat myself twice before it sunk in. Thas why you wear them and I don't care about 100$ pair of chaps just his leg and glad he got a lesson that should stick with him.

I wear mine everyday. They go inside my pants though, so it’s really difficult for me to forget them lol

Chaps saved me an expensive injury last winter. Went through a couple layers in a 6 layer chap. I upgraded to a 9 layer chap after the incident. I always wear mine and I am definitely a believer even prior to my incident.

The smallest brushy stuff is the worst to work in (grabby) stuff, before auto stop I had a lot of pants cut on the top of the left leg. Lots of rips but few cuts nothing ever serious just lucky.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

both of the boys usually pay attention when I tell them about potential dangers. Usually!!

I'm happy this happend to my youngest he is heck on wheels, ridding wheelies, jumping 4 wheelers and pedal to the floor. I think the is a lesson he wil member and pay attention to.

when he was small he would grab every snake he saw even after geting bit by a few. He was about 7 maybe 8 and going to grab one in the back yard and his older brother( 2 year older) stoped him saying I think that's a bad one we beer ask mom. Good thing it was a copper head. Really had an effect on him he doesn't like snakes at all now not even his sister's. Seeing how he reacted to close calls with the snake I'm hopeful he will never fire uo a ground saw without leg protection the rest of his life.

I bought the new 9 layer and consider $180 cheap compared to trip to hospital. I know 3 people that have same cut in thigh. My thing is to not work past being tired and get sloppy. Also always wear helmet, muffs, and face shield.

Only hit my chaps twice in last 35 years, both times while doing little stuff. Pretty easy to do.

If grabbing a saw, helmet with eye/ear protection and chaps are on. I never had them save me but not taking any chances.
