I don’t know what’s better. The papers or the tubes .
A book I have by Erik Johnson mentions that over 7.2 ammonia levels will naturally be higher. But I have no ammonia in my readings. High ph and fish will gasp at the surface and produce excess slime. I’m not seeing that either. Just talking out loud I guess.

To increase O2 you can create wave action or more bubbling as that increases the surface area and allows more oxygen to mix into the water. Also the higher your pH gets the more eutrophic your water gets which decreases dissolved O2. Adding more plants can help add O@ also.

Needs an aerator, if you don't have one, and all your PH's and other measurements are close, it's to deep with out one !

You need something to move the water more besides fish tails !!

Are you using water from your well in the fish pond? If so do you have a water softener? Water softeners use salt tablets. Water run thru them will kill garden plants, some water plants and fish.

Do you pump the water with the hose in the water or in the air so it can splash it?

I have filtration in the waterfall. Macropore filter, polyfill quilt batting and on top of that is a mesh bag with fluvall rings and lava rock

Which one.?

Turn over depletes oxygen…
Usually happens in lakes 15 feet or less with organic matter on the bottom.
Do you vacuum it during the winter?

If you’re asking me flow in or out I don’t think I have that…I use a pump on the bottom of the pond in the corner to bring water to the waterfall opposite side.
No we have never vacuumed in the winter time

No I am asking you when you add water is the hose elevated adobe the pond
Or in the water?

And from you’re not vacuuming in the winter… I guess lots of organic matter and the pond turning over.
Or a disease
