Joseph E Johnston i guess because he tried to hold them off not far from me in the last major battle of the war at Bentonville. Also my kin. Had two brothers in the 5th NC infantry one kia by artiller fire at cedar creek va. One made it back home

…. Had one killed at Atlanta … a couple others as well …. And some made it .. one was a pow that survived

Yes sir. The tactics of the time required brass ones. Ive always wanted to go see Gettysburg. I think my ppls unit was involved in Picketts charge from what ive read.

A handful were field officers. One known general.

Like Savell....I carry a few of these heroes' last name.
