Amazing people. Real tough.

I bet the women in that tribe could carry a load of 100lbs. For 5 miles. In the jungle. Barefoot. In any weather.
And do it every day without thought.

These are the people that invented bungee jumping, except they use vines not modern rubber ropes.

It is astounding what the human body can do when challenged to do it. You can see video of (technologically) primitive southeast asian men climbing trees to gather honey with the same ease. Amazing that they survive doing that without OSHA rules to keep them safe.

It is comforting that there are humans that can still survive the destruction of our technology based society to rise again from a global catrostrophic event. They won't rise from Papua New Guinea, but they might spread from there to rise elswhere.

I have a Honduran friend who’s the baddest tree climber you’ll ever meet. He runs up to 180 feet like it’s nothing, because he’s used to doing it barefoot in shorts with an 044 stihl tied to his waist on a piece of rope. So you give him spurs and a saddle and flipline, plus a saw designed for climbing, he’s skyward bound like a rocket.

Meanwhile, I pulled a hammy getting off the couch yesterday. These people are jumping out of trees with vines tied to their ankles like it’s Tuesday.

I watched it and really enjoyed it. Also watched one that popped up when it was over about natives and they're shelters in the artic.
