Red fox seem to easily adjust to people. In Great Britain, foxes often go into houses when people leave the doors open.

Yes, they do. They are fairly easy to make pets of and are generally good natured. A friend of mine who lives in town took a picture a few days ago of a red pup on his porch looking at him through the glass door.
Back in the day when fox farms were common, most farmers had a pet red color-phase (artic marbles were beautiful).
As a side note, many of the lures using red fox glands that became famous during the fur boom were made using farmed, color-phase red glands in large proportions, not wild caught. Same with mink glands.

Thanks, my wife took it for me with a good Canon & good lens. I had to trim it way down in size and pixels to even get it to load. Actual distance about 25 yards to fox.
