I asked on a thread last year about storing acorns but no one seemed to know the best way. Long story short I put them in a steel grain bin last fall and forgot about them. Finished planting the garden and decided I might as well check and see what they looked liked. Got a nice surprise! Looks like I have a couple thousand to plant.

If it works out you will still be alive when the acorns you plant now will be producing their own crop of nuts for the wildlife to eat No need to contact me when it happens I AM 3 SCORE AND 10 YEARS OLD NOW So I will most likely be in a wooden box when they start producing a crop But I say great job on planning for the future Farmers trappers and any one else that lives of the land are the most optimistic people in the world they plant whatever crop/ .tree food source with the hope that they get back more than they planted They're at the mercy of nature to get enough rain sun and protection from insects deer and bear that in the end they r ill have more than when it began Blessed are they that plan for a future they will most likely not be here to see But do it anyway because they believe there is a future and it s everyone duty to be a positive influence in it I HOPE YOU GET MANY HAPPY RETURNS ON YOUR ACORN PLANTING EFFORTS
