Hello, I made another post about traps and was going towards the SC 1.75 but wanted your opinion. I want a good budget friendly trap that would be good for live market also. Had some questions about chain rig but want a shock springs. Would love to see your opinions and rigs pictures would be great, Thanks!

No more than 14". I run 12" and have no problems. With short chain set ups a shock spring won't make any difference. The critter needs to get a running start for a shock spring to work.

We run Bridger #2s with inside and outside laminations. We do our own lams, but I think you can buy them that way from MTP. As for our chain set up... Swivel at the baseplate, 2 links of #3 chain, swivel, JC Connor shock spring, swivel, 2 links of chain, swivel.

Inside lams are all you need. " V" This is kind of what the trap jaws look like when partially open. The bottom inside edge of the jaw will do the most foot damage.

It's illegal due to the rabies quarantine. Class C misdemeanor. Live coyote, fox and raccoon.

Outdoor todd,
Google Texas trapping laws.

Then, take the time to read them.
